Theatre For the People
With the goal of creating a nonprofit “Theatre Company of the People, ”TMM started as a culturally diverse, community-based team of artists and supporters of the arts; an identity it maintains today through educational and inspiring productions such as Let the Eagle Fly, and La Pastorela―San Diego’s longest-running professional theatre production.
TMM is distinctive in its belief all races, creeds and cultures should have the opportunity for artistic expression and experiences in the realm of live theater, and in its mission to subsidize ticket prices to make live theatre affordable to families and the less affluent.

Education & Scholarships
TMM has been recognized as a national leader in developing a curriculum of dynamic, enlightening theatre productions coupled with community-based outreach and educational experiences. With the decline in support for fine arts education, TMM aspires to promote theatrical creativity to the youth so that students can still receive a well-rounded education with a focus on artistic creativity. TMM’s professional actors donate their time to mentor students and act beside them in their own renditions of culturally rich productions, as well as expose them to a wide array of theatre professionals such as playwrights, directors, stage technicians, etc.—which provides them unique educational experiences. In addition, TMM brings touring productions to schools through in-theater programs, student workshops, and students always receive special pricing at TMM shows.
